Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in the North East

North EastEvery day in the North East a baby is born with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

It is caused by mothers drinking alcohol during pregnancy.

The children can have a number of disabilities, although it can often go undiagnosed for many years.

Thousands are thought to be living in the North East without knowing they’re affected.
