You will be joining an established Agency that is guided by faith to care for and bring hope to people in need with humility, compassion and respect. With more than 50 years of service delivery, Catholic Social Services is one of the largest multi-function social services agencies in Canada, with more than 1600 staff, and hundreds of volunteers delivering 130+ programs through Central Alberta.
The McDaniel Youth Ministry provides mentorship, support, and advocacy for youth and young adults affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) to help them access community supports as they transition into adulthood.
As a Community Outreach Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of the clients to address challenges, access resources, develop life and social skills and ensure the clients have an ongoing network of support while providing emotional and practical support to foster independence. Working in collaboration with the youth and their other supports, Community Outreach Workers assist in identifying goals and the strategies in connecting youth with life-long community resources that can continue to assist them once they have transitioned from the Ministry.
