  1. Hello I joined this site to be able to better support my nephew with Fasd. He is 22 and needs to find a way to prepare for work. I noticed this brochure said pre-employment 9-11 Is that something offered for my nephew? I am unable to attend this event as I work full-time. I am sole emotional/family support for him. He is on Aish, has an apartment and I manage his funds for him. I’d be very happy to get some additional resources for him regarding working and training for work. He’s currently starting counselling for social anxiety, a problem also. He only recently has accepted his diagnosis. I’ve helped him all his life and it’s very hard finding supports.

    Thanks Cathy

    1. Hi Cathy, does your nephew have specific FASD mentorship supports? If not, I would suggest calling over to our short-term navigator position. In her role she helps to support adults with (or suspected to have FASD) with connecting to the community resources they require as well as address immediate crisis needs. The staff is Catherine and she is with the FASS program with Bissell Centre. Her phone number is 780-423-2285 ext 157.
