In this panel discussion, we bring together individuals from different backgrounds to discuss some of the philosophical and professional/practical challenges that organizations are facing for inclusion. We will look at the broader scope of inclusion, covering topics related to disability, but also age, gender and more. Specific topics include:

  • HR / management practices – hiring, compensation, training and more
  • Harassment and other forms of exclusion
  • How employers who want to be more inclusive can do it, and prove it

This webcast will be relevant to anyone who would have a role to play with inclusion in the workplace.

Speaker Bios:
Dr. Mike Annett is an Assistant Professor of Human Resources Management at MacEwan University.

Mr. Kim Bechtel is the Founder and CEO of PostWorkApps.

This session is part of an ongoing series of learning webcasts for employment of persons with disabilities. The government is focused on ensuring Albertans with disabilities have access to and are supported in meaningful job opportunities that contribute to a rich and fulfilling life.

These sessions are intended to spark the collective imagination of individuals, families, agencies and employers on how we can all work collaboratively to create inclusive workplaces and communities.
