The end of June marks the close of Indigenous History Month. A month of grief, following the discovery of 215 undocumented remains of children at the Kamloops Indian Residential School at the end of May, and 751 remains at the Marieval Indian Residential School last week.

These discoveries are a stark reminder of the trauma inflicted on Indigenous communities in our countries not so distant history. We hope this catalyzes the action and momentum needed to fully implement all 94 calls to action laid out in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada report.
