Meaningful and fulfilling employment can help people develop a positive identify, self-esteem, and self-worth. For people with FASD, consistent employment can also be a protective factor against some secondary outcomes associated with FASD.
In this webinar, CanFASD brings together a researcher, a person with FASD, an FASD service provider, and an employer to talk about how we can optimize employment opportunities and outcomes to encourage success for those with FASD in the workplace.
The amazing speakers include Dr. Aamena Kapasi, a research fellow with CanFASD; Lisa Murphy, the Executive Director of the Lakeland Centre for FASD; Blair Charters, a FASD advocate successfully working in Alberta for the last 22 years; and Tara Baker, an employer of an individual with FASD.
This video is part of CanFASD’s webinar series, bringing evidence-based research on FASD to Canadians from the comfort of your own home.
