The Canada FASD Research Network CanFASD has released a free online FASD training course. CanFASD describes it as a “basic training program intended for everyone that will come into contact with individuals with FASD. This evidence-based course is both culturally sensitive and responsive to learners’ needs.”

The course is a fantastic resource for parents, caregivers, allied health and other professionals who come into contact with individuals with FASD, and parents of children living with FASD have also given good feedback about this course. Parents describe it as very easy to understand, basic and great for families new to FASD and the neurobehavioural approach.

Foundations in FASD is a basic training course intended for everyone that will come into contact with individuals with FASD including all sectors of work, families, individuals with FASD, spouses, and the general public. This foundational level training program provides the perspective of individuals who have FASD, is evidence-based, employs a culturally sensitive approach, and is presented in a way that is responsive to the learners needs.
