To help reinforce services across the lifespan, create opportunities for meaningful success, and support through group-based activities the well-being of individuals, caregivers, and families impacted by FASD, the Healthy Outcomes Fund has been developed and implemented by the Edmonton and area Fetal Alcohol Network.
Founded on the belief that “healthy outcomes emphasize healthy living and quality of life, not solely the remediation of deficits” (Pei et al., 2019), the fund supports targeted needs as defined by the ten domains of intervention that are common for individuals with FASD and promote well-being in all individuals. These include physical well-being, attachment & relationships, social competency & positive relationships, mental wellness, education & skill building, identity, interdependence, employment, housing, and parenting.
