The FASD Instructional Coaches offer a spectrum of supports to Alberta Education stakeholders, including whole group coaching, small group coaching, and one-to-one coaching.
Whole group coaching:
Leading high-quality professional development, including presenting designed learning opportunities, providing resources, and acting as a bridge to the FASD Service Networks.
Small group coaching:
Facilitating small groups which center around critical inquiry focussed on a common issue, including presenting professional development that aligns with teacher needs, providing resources, highlighting research, exploring and brainstorming ideas, demonstrating FASD-informed strategies, and acting as a bridge to the FASD Service Networks.
One-to-one coaching:
Partnering with individual school staff to support their growth and development, including providing resources, highlighting research, exploring and brainstorming ideas, problem-solving and reflection, formal coaching conversations, demonstrating FASD-informed strategies, co-creating routines and procedures, participating in case consultations, and acting as a bridge to the FASD Service Networks.
