Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a lifelong neurodevelopmental disability that can impact learning, behaviour, and daily functioning. Early and accurate diagnosis is key to understanding an individual’s strengths and needs, and to accessing supports that promote long-term stability, wellbeing, and inclusion.
In the Edmonton region, FASD assessments for under the age of 18 are primarily conducted at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. For more information, please visit Pediatric FASD Clinical Services.
A limited number of adult FASD assessments are available each year through EFAN’s grant-funded assessment program. These assessments are coordinated through EFAN in partnership with community agencies and are typically referred to Manor Clinic based on identified need and readiness for assessment.
For individuals who are not accessing an EFAN-funded assessment, or who prefer to move forward more quickly, private FASD assessments are also available directly through Manor Clinic.
