Join us for the FASD Frontline Collective, a gathering designed to connect, learn, and share in a meaningful cultural experience. This event provides an opportunity for frontline workers to come together, strengthen relationships, and engage in Métis cultural learning and hands-on activities.
Event Timeline:
🛎️ 30 Mins – Welcome & Get-to-Know-You Activity 🤝
📜 30 Mins – Presentation on Métis History & Culture
🧵 1 Hr – Tuppie Making
This interactive session will guide participants through the history and significance of tuppies—ornate blankets used by the Red River Métis to decorate their sled dogs during winter travel. As a symbol of pride and identity, tuppies hold cultural significance and reflect the Métis tradition of artistry, storytelling, and connection to the land.
Come ready to learn, create, and build community! We look forward to seeing you there. 💙 Marsee (thank you)!
