Position: FULL-TIME HOUSE MANAGER POSITION —Stony Plain, AB
At Unlimited Potential Community Services we provide ongoing group care treatment services and educational programs to emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and adolescents, including those with FASD and mental health issues. Our clients, who range from 12 to 18 years of age, live in a residential, therapeutic setting.
We are looking for an individual who has a passion for working with these at-risk youth, becoming their role model and teaching them life skills through various activities. The successful candidate must also be willing to collaborate with other members of the professional team to develop plans that will assist our clients to once again become valued members of society.
Qualifications/Experience:
A completed diploma/degree in Child and Youth Care Work or related area in Human Services
Minimum two years of supervisory experience combined with considerable experience in Child Care work
Good knowledge of child development theories, behaviour management techniques, intervention skills and family dynamics
Good understanding of health issues affecting youth such as FASD, mental health, suicide, other mental and behavioural issues
Demonstrated knowledge of safety and security measures
Good understanding of cultural differences and how they impact treatment approaches for children and youth
Good verbal and written communication skills with proven organizational and documentation skills
Able to work well in a team environment with the ability to handle stressful situations in a non-confrontational, problem solving manner is required.
Other Requirements: A current, clear Police Information Check, Intervention Record Check, a valid driver’s license and vehicle, and is willing to work shifts, including weekends, evenings and on call.
Salary & Benefits: Salary Range: $52,296.00 – $72,243.00 annually. Salary Commensurate with education and experience. We provide full-time employees with a 100% employer paid health benefits package (which includes vision, dental and prescription drug coverage, massage therapy, etc.) and a 100% employer paid RRSP equaling 3% of annual salary. We also offer free courses and workshops in-house for all of our employees.
