AISH Office Re-Location

On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, Seniors, Community and Social Services will close the Westcor office, located on the fifth floor at 500, 12323 Stony Plain Road. Most Edmonton-area staff, who support the delivery of the Assured Income for Severely Handicapped (AISH) program, have been located out of this office.

To meet the needs of Albertans, including clients of Seniors, Community and Social Services, more effectively, staff will be relocated to Edmonton-area Alberta Supports Centres. The majority of clients already live closer to an Edmonton Alberta Support Centre office than to the Westcor building. Relocating services means clients will have better access to the services they need, closer to where they live, including in-person help for those who need it.

This change is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to simplify and streamline program delivery to make it easier for Albertans to access the supports they need. Alberta Supports Centre offices in the Edmonton area are located in easy-to-access locations, close to transit stations and medical centres and some are located within malls that offer other services clients may need.

To limit any disruption, clients who receive services from the Westcor office will be informed of the move in advance. We do not expect any interruption to client services during this transition, and staff will continue to provide assistance.
