Complexities of the Indigenous Health Crisis – Randal Bell

Randal Bell pulls back the curtain on the Indigenous health crisis in Canada, outlining how the crisis was created. Through the lens of personal and professional experiences, Bell explores its genesis, intergenerational trauma, socioeconomic factors as well as structural and systemic challenges that create barrier for Indigenous peoples in health service access and utilization. Finally, Bell presents an alternative path to de-colonizing healthcare rooted in hope, forgiveness and reconciliation.
