This new Canadian research looks at the well-being of caregivers supporting people with FASD across the lifespan. One of the clearest findings is that caregiving does not happen in isolation. Employment, finances, social connection, family relationships, stage of life and the amount of caregiving responsibility all influence how families are doing. Many caregivers reported high stress and limited social support, while relationships and connection were important sources of strength.
